Three promotions and a senior appointment in Designer Contracts

THE UK’s largest flooring contractor, Designer Contracts, has announced three senior promotions and welcomed a new logistics manager to the business.

Simon Westley has joined the company as logistics manager at its central distribution facility in Kettering; Alistair Anderson has been promoted from area manager to regional manager in the East Anglia region; Simon Lovett has been promoted from senior contracts manager to area manager at the company’s Thames Medway region; and Liam Love has been promoted from project manager to senior contracts manager – also within the Thames Medway region.

Simon Westley, Designer Contracts’ new logistics manager, brings vast experience to his role, having served as a Royal Engineer in the British army for several years before working in transport and logistics where he gained invaluable knowledge.

He said: ‘I’m thrilled to be part of such a great team. During my first few weeks within the business, I have learnt a lot about the size and complexity of the company and have found my new colleagues to be incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. I’m really looking forward to the future with Designer Contracts!’

Alastair Anderson, the new regional manager for East Anglia, joined the business three years ago as senior contracts manager before quickly being promoted to area manager ahead of his new position as regional manager. He said: ‘I’m proud of the region’s growth over the past three years and delighted to be part of the company’s ongoing success story.’

Simon Lovett, recently promoted to area manager within the Thames Medway division said: ‘During the past eight years we have really grown the region into the success story it is today – and I’m ready for the next chapter within the company. I’m especially excited about expanding the region further and adding new projects to our diverse portfolio.’

New contracts manager for Thames Medway, Liam Love, has worked his way up from trainee planner to project manager over the past six years with the company. He said: ‘I’m looking forward to taking on a bigger challenge in what is an exciting time for the region.’

Designer Contracts md, Peter Kelsey said: ‘We’re really thrilled to have Simon on board as our new logistics manager. The role is certainly a crucial one to ensure the smooth delivery of our products to our customers across the UK, and we feel that Simon will take on the challenge with gusto and determination.

‘Our Thames Medway region is a thriving region, and we feel that the promotions of Simon Lovett and Liam will help us drive it forward further. Congratulations!’
