New IVC laminate ranges ‘remain true to nature wood designs’

DHARA, Nesta, Fika, and Tuffa are the new laminate floor ranges from IVC Commercial. With true-to-nature wood designs and a sustainable recovered wood construction, these flooring solutions are made for the demands of housing and commercial interior projects, says the company.

‘Featuring emboss in register texture that follows the wood grain pattern and with an extra matt finish for lifelike wood effects, the IVC Commercial laminate flooring collection brings the beauty of wood with the performance of floors made for commercial use. Highly scratch and wear-resistant, long-lasting, and using 100% recovered wood, it embraces nature in more ways than one.’

Literally translated from Scandinavian Dhara means earth, and this floor reportedly brings that essence of beginning to modern, project-ready laminate flooring.

The company continues: ‘Available in a range of original wood designs which provide a restful basis for a range of great-looking spaces, Dhara is described as an all-round solution for housing projects that need a floor for private accommodation areas which is durable and accessible. With scratch and wear-resistance, Dhara brings the spirit of nature in a low maintenance finish.’

Nesta – Scandinavian for pure – is said to translate the essence of nature in honest form, ‘an elegant floor finish that reimagines the calming influence of wood in a performance, project-ready construction. Nesta’s classic designs can be enjoyed in a wide variety of housing project types’.

Adds IVC: ‘Nesta’s versatile performance is down to its multi-layer construction that ensures it withstands daily use, all while capturing nature’s spirit for a calming and resting atmosphere.’

Fika is how the Scandinavians appreciate the good things in life, and this laminate floor is no exception, says IVC. The company adds that Fika brings the beauty of elegant wood finishes to projects. ‘With Canopy, a hydrophobic technology that keeps water and dirt at bay and fights off scratches and wear, Fika is wonderfully simple to look after – the perfect solution for a range of environments. In everywhere from housing to offices, retail stores, hotels, bars, and restaurants, Fika’s scratch and wear resistance delivers a performance boost.’

Tuffa is the Scandinavian phrase for a ‘resilient state of mind’ and there’s no doubt this floor lives up to its name, says IVC. ‘Made for the world’s most intense locations, every water-resistant Tuffa floor is equipped with a finish that meets the most demanding wear standard in the world. Despite its tough and resilient nature, Tuffa is undeniably beautiful. Owing its designs to the calming influence of elegant wood grains and refined palette, this is a floor that looks great anywhere. And with Canopy hydrophobic technology, Tuffa is beautifully easy to clean.’

It adds: ‘Simple and reliable glue-free fitting thanks to the patented and proven Uniclic joint means that all IVC Commercial laminate floors can be installed easily, while the excellent longevity and scratch-resistance of the laminate wear layer ensures a long life. Easy to clean with nothing more than water or a mild detergent, they provide a hardwearing and low maintenance solution that can meet the value expectations of housing and commercial projects, such as hotel rooms, restaurants, retail shops, offices.’

100% of all the wood used in IVC Commercial laminate flooring is recovered from responsible PEFC-certified sources or as a by-product of other industries (eg sawmill), says the company. ‘That means not a single tree is felled to make IVC Commercial laminate floors. The recovered wood is processed into a high-performance HDF core, adding a wear finish that’s made to withstand project use and reduce maintenance.’

The company continues: ‘The biomass power, energy efficiency and recycled water usage used in the production of every IVC Commercial laminate floor is with the environment in mind. Using alternative transportation wherever possible, such as rail and inland waterways, also means Dhara, Nesta, Fika and Tuffa arrive with less carbon being emitted, in FSC-certified packaging that’s 100% recyclable. Owing to the use of sustainable raw materials and energy-friendly production, IVC Commercial is certified by the independent EU Ecolabel.’

Concludes IVC: ‘Delivering durability and resilience from a sustainable construction that captures the beauty of real wood, IVC Commercial laminate floors show a little Treespect.’
