MAPEI’s range of adhesives for all types of floor and wall coverings

MAPEI’s range of adhesives reportedly includes systems for all types of floor and wall coverings, including ceramic tiles, natural stone, resilient flooring, and wood.

Says the company: ‘Products are developed to promote a fast, safe installation, while fulfilling performance benefits. Latest additions to the range include Ultrabond ECO TX3 – a solvent-free ready to use acrylic formulation developed for textile and linoleum floors.

‘Made in the UK, Mapei Ultrabond ECO TX3 is a premium, wet-grab adhesive that’s safe and easy to apply. The very low VOC formulation has exceptional wetting and high grab properties, giving early strength and build-up. It’s suitable for textile floors with all types of backing – including jute, polypropylene, Action-Bac, woven, latex, foam, and needle-punched on all kinds of internal, absorbent substrates that are dry. The adhesive is also suitable for the installation of linoleum with natural jute backing.’

The company continues: ‘Ultrabond ECO TX3 is particularly suitable for commercial floors subjected to castor wheel traffic (in accordance with EN 12529) and heavy foot traffic, including hotels, offices, airports, and restaurants. It can also be used in double stick-installations and on heated screeds. During installation, the adhesive has an open time of 10-30 minutes. Floors can accept light foot traffic after 3-5 hours and returned to full use after 24-48 hours.’

Concludes Mapei: ‘Safety and environmental certifications include EMICODE EC1 Plus (very low emission) and Blauer Engel DE-UZ 113. The solvent-free adhesive is also non-flammable, has an M1 emission class for building materials and a low odour ISO 16000:28 rating.’
