PROFESSIONAL flooring contractors, Elvet Flooring Solutions, has made a homeowner’s dream come true after installing 40sq m of luxury vinyl flooring at their property using UltraFloor’s expert subfloor preparation materials.

Background
As part of their extensive home renovations, a homeowner in Durham dreamed of installing beautiful Tarkett Mini Plank flooring throughout their hallway and kitchen – the perfect finishing touch to their modern and luxurious home.

The challenge
The 40sqm area is the main thoroughfare from front door to garden and so the floor needed to be smooth and bump-free to keep the family, and dog, safe. It was also important the flooring was installed speedily so as not to delay the rest of the renovations.

The solution
UltraFloor says it has a reputation for providing the flooring market with quality, innovative subfloor preparation materials.

For this project Elvet Flooring Solutions first secured 5.5mm FG1 plywood across the entire area, then primed the surface using Prime IT Multi-surface Primer.

Once cured, Level IT Renovate was applied at a 5mm depth and left for three days before the LVT flooring was installed in a herringbone design.

‘What’s more, Level IT Renovate can also be used externally, as a light wearing surface, can be walked on in as little as between 2-2.5 hours and can receive floorcoverings in just four hours.’

Results
The company concludes: ‘The flooring took just four days to install from start-to-finish and the homeowner is now enjoying their beautiful new kitchen living area.’
