WITH most sponsors in place for the 2022 CFJ/CFA Awards (Junckers; F Ball & Co; Carpet & Flooring; Hanson Plywood; Loughton Contracts; Woca; Uzin; Genesis; Nicobond; Verona; Karndean Designflooring; and Tilemaster Adhesives); the independent judging panel eager to get its hands on the finalists and determine the winners; and entries open so we can actually select the finalists, the stars are aligning for the next awards.
Last month we reported our independent panel of judges is now complete with Graeme Dewar having joined the cast. Graeme, a director at GD Surveyors in Kent, will bring an architect-minded view to the panel, to add to the facilities management flavour of Fiona Bowman; the independent counsel of Richard Renouf and the experienced contractor views of John Butler, founder of John Butler Contracts. With these judges in place, the complete independence of the awards is as assured as it ever was.
Meanwhile, entries have opened for the 2022 awards, and we encourage all companies, both manufacturers and contractors, to visit our website in order to enter into a fitting category. There are several categories open and the appropriates one/s can be selected when you upload your entry.
Last year’s awards was a notable success, particularly as we’d just emerged from the pandemic lockdowns and flooring industry figures were delighted to see their friends and clients again.
In addition, we were fortunate to have Rev Richard Coles as presenter. This year, CFJ will be using a comedian, and making the announcement in the forthcoming weeks.
