Recofloor is the national commercial waste vinyl collection service founded in 2009 by flooring manufacturers Altro and Polyflor. The scheme collects smooth, safety and luxury vinyl tiles (LVT) post-installation offcuts – as well as loose lay, uplifted smooth vinyl and roll-ends – and recycles this into new products, including flooring. The scheme operates in two ways: it offers collections directly from project sites and contractors’ premises, or small volumes of day-to-day waste vinyl can be dropped off at any participating flooring distributor across the UK. Recofloor it’s free to join and provides industry with a sustainable, economical and easy-to-use route to recover and recycle waste vinyl.
