Engaging with Experts by Experience and NHS Trusts, in early 2023 Gilling Dod, Britplas and Kingsway Group embarked on a collaborative research and design concept project to determine what the ideal CAMHS bedroom could look like and set a new benchmark for CAMHS design.
Unveiled at Design in Mental Health 2024, the CAMHS Bedroom Collaboration is a project with co-production at its core. Collaborating with Caudwell Children’s Charity and with close engagement with children, young people and their families, the project aims to inspire spaces in which CAMHS service users can feel valued and safe within.
The concept project serves as an inspiration for what can be achieved through collaborative innovation and co-production.
A full-scale CAMHS concept display bedroom, featuring Altro floors and walls, situated at Kingsway Group’s Helix Innovation Centre in Greater London now serves as a demonstration of the project’s key learnings.
Bringing together subject matter experts and industry professionals, an Open Day will provide an opportunity to share knowledge and experience while exploring the full-scale concept display bedroom and reviewing the project’s key learnings.
Kingsway Group would like to invite healthcare experts to visit and experience this exciting concept on Tuesday 10 September as they host their first CAMHS Collaboration Open Day.
