ESTABLISHED in early 2011, Millennium Weavers took the bold step on 1 April 2021 of opening a UK facility following Brexit-related challenges. The Belgium company will continue to manage continental and export business.
The company, which focuses on producing high-quality, ‘on-trend’ residential carpet, says it prides itself on delivering ‘outstanding product quality alongside excellent customer service’ and with this in mind, is determined to take advantage of several group synergies and improvements that can be realised from operating from the PLC head office site in Kidderminster.
Millennium’s managing director, Jan van Damme commented recently: ‘We’re convinced that once operations are fully established in UK, we’ll continue to improve our product and service offering which will result in excellent service and growth for Millennium Carpets business.’
Millennium Weavers says it houses a significant stockholding at two distribution centres and has transitioned onto a new computer system in the past few weeks, which enables improved planning processes to be explored. These in turn, it adds, will lead to better order fulfilment at time of placement over the coming months.
The company continues: ‘There are also several technology enhancements being developed including the introduction of a live sales portal which will enable customers to check stock, place orders and access their accounts at any time. This means we have an exciting year ahead for Millennium Carpets with the entire team focused on continuous improvement to deliver an excellent level of service to our customers.’

Millennium Twist
Says the company: ‘We’re relaunching our very successful Millennium Twist range with a refreshed colour bank of 10 new smart and fashionable colours. It comes with a seven-year warranty, is fade resistant, bleach cleanable, and non-allergenic.’
Melbourne Supreme
Luxury Frise Saxony broadloom carpet comes in two practical widths of four and five metres wide, has secondary backing and, the company points out, as this was a successful product, it’s refreshing and recolouring with some stylish modern colours anticipating coming trends.
Concludes the company: ‘Melbourne Supreme weighs a solid 2100gms, making it exceptionally suitable for every residential location.’
