CARTERS Flooring is a nationwide flooring contractor. Family-run to its core its aim is to achieve the highest quality of flooring installations for some of the leading leisure companies over the past 35 years.
The business is based in Derbyshire, but its services span the entire UK and Ireland and it has undertaken work overseas as far as Switzerland and France.
Carters installs most types of floorcoverings including carpets, sheet vinyls, luxury vinyl tiles, linoleum flooring, hardwood flooring, sheet and tile rubber flooring systems.
In addition, it also covers all manner of entrance matting systems, engineered timber flooring, laminate flooring, poured latex subfloor preparation and specialist poured resin floors to name a few. Carters also supplies and fits hygienic wall cladding systems for hotels, hospitals and commercial kitchens.
The company specialises mainly in the leisure and transport industries which cover large and boutique hotels, universities, holiday parks, new and rolling stock rail, student accommodation, cinemas, arcades, bingo halls, gymnasiums, bowling alleys, hospitals and nursing homes to name a few.
At present Carters employs eight office staff as well as between 30-45 sub-contract flooring operatives.
Carters’ office staff and onsite estimators have been trained externally and in-house to the highest standards, including CSCS black cards, fully SSSTS trained, NVQ2 skilled workers cards, fully face fit trained, asbestos awareness training and various health and safety training.
In the 2023 CFJ Awards, Carters Flooring was a finalist in the Flooring in Hotels category for its work at Heythrop Park Hotel in Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire. The installation, which covered 6,000sq m and was part of a £40m renovation following the property’s acquisition by Warner Hotels.
