F Ball and Co has appointed Andy Heath as the company’s new training officer, further strengthening its commitment to promoting the highest standards in floorcovering installation.
Working alongside F Ball head of training, Tim Green, Andy will deliver training courses at the F Ball Centre of Excellence and further afield according to customer requirements.
This will include education on subfloor preparation techniques and ensuring flooring professionals, including apprentices enrolled in the Floorsight apprenticeship programme, can maximise the performance of F Ball’s product range.
Andy joins the business with over a decade of experience in flooring industry education, having previously spent ten years as a senior training provider for a floorcovering manufacturer. In this role, he was responsible for instructing installers ranging from beginners to seasoned professionals, during which time he used F Ball products extensively. He holds an NVQ Level 3 in Resilient Flooring.

I’ve always been incredibly passionate about training, so this role ticks all the boxes for me while offering an exciting new challenge. One of the things I enjoy most is staying ahead of trainees’ questions – it keeps me engaged, drives continuous learning, and ensures I stay at the very forefront of industry developments.’
Outside of work, Andy enjoys spending quality time with his wife, Kim, his two sons, Gabe and Harley, and bulldog, named ‘Prince Harry’. Together they love exploring new destinations in their VW camper van, frequently visiting Cornwall, as well as holidaying abroad.
