THE finalists for the prestigious Manufacturer of the Year and Distributor of the Year categories at the 2026 CFJ Awards have now been confirmed following a reader vote, with the winners set to be announced at the National Conference Centre (NCC) in Birmingham on Friday 11 September.
Among the most eagerly anticipated awards of the evening, both categories recognise the companies that have made the greatest impact on the contract flooring industry through product innovation, customer service, technical support and overall contribution to the sector.
Unlike many of the project-based awards, the Manufacturer of the Year and Distributor of the Year categories are decided by the industry itself, giving flooring professionals the opportunity to recognise the businesses they believe have delivered exceptional performance over the past year.
Distributor of the Year finalists
Following a strong response from readers, the four companies shortlisted for Distributor of the Year are:
Likewise
Planners
TradeChoice
STS
Each finalist has established a strong reputation in the flooring sector through product availability, customer service, technical expertise and support for contractors across the UK.
Distributors play a vital role within the supply chain, ensuring products, accessories and installation materials reach projects efficiently and on time, often operating behind the scenes but remaining essential to the success of flooring installations nationwide.
Manufacturer of the Year finalists
The finalists for Manufacturer of the Year are:
Altro
Balsan
Forbo Flooring Systems
UltraFloor
The category recognises manufacturers that have demonstrated excellence through product development, quality, sustainability initiatives, technical innovation and support for customers throughout the flooring industry.
Each of the shortlisted companies has made a significant contribution to the market, helping to drive standards and deliver solutions across a wide range of commercial environments.
Winners to be revealed in September
The winners of both awards will be announced during the CFJ Awards ceremony at the NCC, Birmingham, on Friday 11 September, where leading contractors, manufacturers, distributors and suppliers from across the industry will come together to celebrate excellence in contract flooring.
With a strong field of finalists in both categories, competition is expected to be close. Regardless of the outcome, reaching the final shortlist represents recognition from the wider industry and reflects the respect each company has earned among flooring professionals.
The CFJ Awards continue to celebrate the businesses, projects and individuals helping to drive the sector forward, and the announcement of the reader-voted finalists marks another important milestone ahead of this year’s event.
