MAPEI is introducing Planiprep Fix, the latest cementitious skim coat and repair mortar from its resilient and textile flooring product line.
Says the company: ‘Quick-drying and fine-structured, Planiprep Fix is ideal for repairs and levelling of interior substrates where fast hardening and drying is required. Planiprep Fix can be applied to rough, uneven substrates to create a smooth finish, and is suitable for applications 0-4mm prior to laying resilient and textile floorcoverings.
‘It can also be used to fill small cavities, holes, and cracks in load-bearing subfloors. Floorcoverings may be installed after 30 minutes.’
The company continues: ‘Ideal for correcting uneven areas in both new and existing buildings, Planiprep Fix is suitable for use in all types of commercial, domestic, and industrial projects. Boasting a very fine-grained texture, it’s ideal for application down to a feather edge to achieve a closed surface. Not only is it perfect for subfloors, Planiprep Fix can be used to repair and level stairs, pedestals, and column corners.’
It concludes: ‘For all your internal repair and smoothing needs, Planiprep Fix from Mapei is now available and comes in 4kg aluminium bags for a longer shelf-life.’
