New range of adhesives from Parkside

FORMULATED for ‘workability and reliability,’ Excel Bond is a new range of tile adhesives and subfloor preparation products from Parkside. Featuring flexible rapid-set and slow-set adhesives and a self-smoothing compound, Excel Bond has a solution for most tile-fixing requirements, says the company.

Excel Bond Rapid-Set Flexible adhesive is said to be suitable for ceramic, porcelain and natural stone tiles and comes with a three-hour set-time. For large format tiles, Excel Bond Slow-Set Flexible Adhesive is reportedly best, with a set-time of 24-hours. These adhesives are S1 classification and available in grey and white. For installations where vibration and movement are expected, Excel Bond Super-Flex white (S2 classification) is recommended says the company.

The company adds: ‘To leave a smooth finish over a range of poor condition subfloors, Excel Bond Self-Smoothing Compound can be used at a 2mm-50mm depth range, helping to level and even-out tricky floors. Suitable for use with underfloor heating systems, it sets in three-hours and is ready for tiling after 24 hours (depending on application depth).’

‘We’ve developed Excel Bond, so you can trust the reliability of your tile installations, knowing it won’t be the adhesive or compound to let you down,’ says Luke Roberts of Parkside. ‘In fact, we’re so confident in the performance that all the products currently come with a 20-year guarantee.’

The Excel Bond range is available from Parkside. Along with a comprehensive range of grouts, movement joints and finishing profiles, the adhesives and smoothing compound is said to be joining a growing number of installation and accessory products available from the tile specification company.
