FROM the US manufacturer that says it produces the only custom-fit kneepads on the market, ProKnee has introduced the ProKnee Bomber Pad, which it describes as a great fit in tight spaces that offers standard untethered protection for lightweight mobility.
Inspired by ProKnee’s zero waste efforts, this pad utilises remnants of its Cushion Inserts leftover from its main line kneepads.
Says the company: ‘Sustainably designed to be an economical solution to knee issues while still delivering the same quality that customers expect and love. Featuring a board surface of 43cm(w)x30cm(h)x3cm(d) and a lockdown weight of .76kg, these specs make this pad light enough to carry, yet solid enough to stay put.
‘The replaceable, washable cover with zipper closure consists of our customised No Wrinkle liner material and an Anti-Slip Sole. The liner works to wick away moisture with an added layer of comfort, while the sole is abrasion and water-resistant to grip while you grind. The camo web handle makes it portable and easy to store.’
Continues the company: ‘Like ProKnee’s custom fit (Model 0714/0714E) and all purpose (AP16) kneepads, this pad uses a customized open-cell cushion. Unlike EVA foams, this super resilient, soft type of foam provides even tension as the weight of your body is applied to the cushion. Open cell technology enables the cushions to not break down or decompress after the impact of 8-plus hour day-after-day use, which means this type of cushion performs like new for years, rather than a few short months.
‘This performance is what we refer to as consistent compression spring-back, which helps absorb shock out of day-to-day wear and tear from kneeling.
