PRODUCTS from F Ball and Co’s System LVT Range have been used to install floorcoverings in kitchen areas at a new £18m entertainment complex at the White Horse leisure park, in Selsey, West Sussex.

Flooring contractors installed a range of floorcoverings throughout the development, including in new restaurants and bars, a function room, adjoining kitchens and bathrooms, as well as showers and changing rooms.

F Ball’s Stopgap F77 waterproof surface membrane was applied to create a barrier against excess subfloor moisture where vinyl floorcoverings were to be installed.

Says the company, ‘Once the membrane had cured, contractors used F Ball’s Stopgap 1200 high performance smoothing compound to create a perfectly smooth base for floorcoverings on the ground floor sports bar, kitchen and bathrooms, upstairs private members’ bar, function room, changing rooms and shower rooms.

‘F Ball’s Styccobond F46 pressure sensitive adhesive was then used to install safety flooring in the areas behind the bars, kitchens and bathrooms, shower rooms and changing rooms.’

Polyflor Expona wood-effect vinyl planks were installed in the sports bar. Contractors opted for Polyflor Expona Endgrain vinyl planks, which create the appearance of wood blocks, in the areas in front of the bars in the eatery, private members’ bar and function room.
