The ‘high performance, flexible cementitious’ adhesive – now with CO2 fully offset in the entire lifecycle – is also said to benefit from a very low VOC EMICODE: EC1 Plus certified formulation, providing what’s described as a safe, high-performance solution for installers.
Suitable for all tile types, including ceramic, porcelain, moisture-stable natural stone and mosaics, Keraflex Extra S1 Zero is described as a highly versatile adhesive suitable for internal and external walls and floors.
The formulation is said to provide many benefits to the installer, including no vertical slip, high wetting capacity and an extended open time of about 30 minutes; it can be used in a fluid consistency for large-format floor tiles, or as a thixotropic paste on walls and facades. It’s also suitable for areas that are constantly immersed such as inside swimming pools, and for overlaying old floors with new tiles.
After installation with Keraflex Extra S1 Zero, tiles are set to light foot traffic and can be grouted after about 24 hours, and surfaces are ready to use after about 14 days.
