MODULEO Intoo 55 is described by the company as the no-hassle loose-lay vinyl floor for office spaces that’s easy to recycle through the Recover programme. Made to be installed with tackifier rather than fully bonded, Intoo 55 is fitted in the same way as carpet tiles and compatible with raised access flooring for a no-hassle vinyl floor in receptions, working areas, breakout spaces, canteens, kitchens and tea stations.
Fully bonding to the subfloor is not only more hassle, but it also makes it harder to remove the vinyl floor at the end of its life and much more difficult to recycle and often, it will end up in landfill. However, vinyl flooring has the potential to be easily recycled. The problem isn’t the floor, but the way it’s installed.
Moduleo Intoo 55’s loose-lay installation is said to solve this complication. The Recover programme is said to work in tandem with the floor’s 100% recyclable construction to recover and find life in products like street furniture. The company says ‘Recover currently take back installation waste, but Intoo 55’s loose-lay installation also makes it possible to reuse the floor in other projects’.
Loose-lay installation and better recyclability are not the only reasons to choose Intoo 55 for office projects, says the company. It adds: ‘It’s new Excimer technology top layer also helps to extend its useful life with better scratch resistance while creating a matt and more natural appearance for its wood, stone and terrazzo designs. Thanks to better wear resistance and the easy uplift of its loose- lay installation, even after its first use in a busy office, Intoo 55 may find another life in social and community projects.’
Intoo 55 is available in standard plank, standard tile and square tile formats. Moduleo says: ‘With nine wood designs, a terrazzo and five tile looks; offices can find a floor that complements the interior and step ‘Intoo’ a brighter future for flooring.’
