The company continues: ‘Mapei’s Latexplan range provides three latex-mixed levelling and smoothing compounds, to cater for all project types. Latexplan No Ammonia is a fast-setting two-component formulation for differences in thickness of 3-10mm. It sets in 30 minutes, is set to light foot traffic after 60 minutes and is installation-ready after four hours.

‘The screed can be applied over most old adhesive residues, including bitumen, over plywood and ceramic tiles without the need for priming, and it’s suitable for heated screeds and castors. The levelling compound is protein and ammonia-free and is moisture-tolerant.

‘Two-component Latexplan Trade is suitable for new and existing floors with
differences between 3-10mm, and it provides high compressive strength of 26N/mm sq. The formulation sets in 45-60 minutes, is light foot traffic ready after 15 minutes to two hours, and floors can be installed after 12 hours. Latexplan Trade is suitable for all types of floorcoverings and is moisture tolerant.’

Concludes Mapei: ‘The third formulation – rapid-curing two-component Latexplan Trade Fast – also caters for differences of 3-10mm and provides very high compressive strength of 32N/sq mm. It’s suitable for use over most adhesive residues, including bitumen, and can receive all types of floorcoverings, castor wheels and heated screeds. The formulation sets in 30 minutes, is light foot traffic ready after 60 minutes and can be installed upon after just 2.5-3 hours.’
