THE Profilpas Unisystem Plus profile series, by Mapei, provides what’s described by the company as a sleek, stable and adaptable finish for engineered wood and laminate installations.

Including three trims and a stairnosing system, the profiles are designed for a wide range of floor thicknesses and are constructed to accommodate floor expansion.

All designs can be customised using the PDS (Profilpas Digital System) technology – to colour match the installed floor – and feature special Teflon plus for ‘easy fitting and removal for floor repairs and maintenance’.

Each of the three profiles are said to be suitable for floating wood and laminate floors from 6.5mm to 22.6mm in thickness. Designs include:

• Unisystem Plus C/ profiles – for floors of different heights. The AlcromR Plus wood patterned designs are offered in four widths – 40, 45, 48 and 52mm.
• Unisystem Plus Z/ – a 40 mm threshold profile that’s used to join floors of the same height. This system includes an aluminium base, clips and top profile, and is available in anodised aluminium or with Alcrom Plus decor.
• Unisystem Plus S/9 and Unisystem Plus S/15 – edging profiles which are selected in line with the thickness of the floor. They measure 9.4/13 x 32mm and are available with Alcrom Plus finishes.
  
  The stairnosing system – Unisystem Plus G/2 and G/4 – allows for floor expansion from 6.5mm to 15mm in thickness. It’s available in a 35×30 mm and 34×24 mm format in an anodised aluminium finish, with Alcrom Plus wood patterns.
