Resilient REGUPOL Everroll passes Riverside Club fitness test

SPORT & LEISURE FLOORING

CMS Danskin Acoustics has supplied specialist impact and slip-resistant flooring for The Riverside Club, the residents’ gym at Berkeley Group’s Heron Wharf, London E14, riverside homes development.

Designed for demanding gym environments, REGUPOL Everroll Ultimate floorcovering sports the good looks to enhance the space’s visual appeal and helps counter impact and airborne sound, says CMS Danskin Acoustics.

CMS Danskin Acoustics liaised with fitness flooring installer Sport & Fitness Flooring from specification to completion, having worked with the development team to provide resilient floorcoverings for earlier phases of the scheme – each residential block has a gym.
At The Riverside Club, the REGUPOL Everroll Ultimate 4mm wearlayer was fitted over a 15mm REGUPOL Everroll Impact Pad protection layer, reportedly enhancing the acoustic performance of the concrete jack up floor running through the gym and protecting apartments above and an adjacent cinema from sound transfer.

Developed for applications including CrossFit, cardio and machine training, free-weight training, lifting platforms, yoga and spin studios, Everroll Ultimate is available in 27 colours and thicknesses of 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12mm.

‘Everroll provides a robust floor finish to help minimise impact sound. Its shock- absorbing qualities make it easy on the joints and, with its anti-slip properties, Everroll protects gym members during workouts,’ explains CMS Danskin Acoustics’ Steve Whitbread.
Says the company: ‘R10 slip-resistant to standard DIN 51130, Everroll Ultimate is impact resistant t>21 Nm to EN 14904 with a force reduction rating up to 14%. The 4mm version provides 14 dB impact sound reduction according to DIN EN ISO 10140 and has an EN 13501-1 fire classification of Cfl-s1.

‘In addition to the gym, Berkeley Group’s The Riverside Club offers Heron Wharf residents other high quality leisure facilities, including a pool and salt room. It opened in autumn.’
CMS Danskin Acoustics, part of The Performance Technology Group, manufactures and sources acoustic insulation products advising on matters relating to acoustic and vibration control materials and noise reduction strategies, including floors, ceilings and walls, to combat airborne, impact and reverberation noise.

Notable projects include the W Hotel in Edinburgh, Park Hill residential, Sheffield, and Berkeley Homes scheme West End Gate.
