ULTRAFLOOR launches innovative eco-friendly underlayments, reducing carbon footprint

ULTRAFLOOR says it’s known in the flooring industry for manufacturing innovative, reliable, and high performance smoothing underlayments, but adds that contractors may be less aware of its impressive environmental credentials.

‘For example,’ it says, ‘did you know UltraFloor’s latest product launches, Level IT Hydra Bond, and Level IT Multi Pro, incorporate their unique Envirobead technology? UltraFloor’s team of in-house development chemists have worked hard to source the optimum raw material to create their unique Envirobead technology. This cutting-edge innovation enhances application and boasts unrivalled flow properties of their much-loved Level IT Hydra Bond and Level IT Multi Pro.’

What’s more, by utilising Envirobead technology in its formulation, UltraFloor says it’s pleased to announce that every bag of Level IT Hydra Bond and Level IT Multi Pro contains 20% recycled material – reportedly helping reduce the carbon footprint of your project.

Continues the company: ‘In addition to this, all five litre bottles are now sold in recycled packaging that’s also fully recyclable. To further demonstrate their environmental commitment, as part of its launch for Level IT Hydra Bond, UltraFloor donated £1,000 to the Staffordshire Wildlife Trust to help protect wildlife and wild places in their local community.’

UltraFloor’s sustainability commitments don’t end with their product range, says the company. ‘UltraFloor’s subfloor preparation materials are manufactured at their world-class production facility in Tamworth, which now includes 3,707sq m of state-of-the-art solar panels and are delivered to their network of distributors on their private fleet, 6% of which runs off Compressed Natural Gas.

‘UltraFloor also provides its customers with a pallet recycling scheme – an initiative which has resulted in their drivers collecting 28,466 unwanted pallets since October 2021. That’s 366 tonnes of wood being recycled which has saved around 3,558 trees.’
