Loughton Contracts wins for sophisticated multi-flooring installation at Project Apollo

Loughton Contracts took this award with Interface, Tarkett, Bolon UK, Altro, and Havwoods at Project Apollo in Soho Place, London.

Loughton Contracts was commissioned by Overbury Major Projects in May 2022 to supply and install new floorcoverings for Project Apollo’s London offices. The project involved intricate details, particularly with the timber flooring, where precise installation around existing gaps and numerous floor boxes was crucial. Brass trims were also installed in open areas to enhance desk layout.
The scope included laying nearly 6,000sq m of carpet tiles in plank and square styles, along with over 600sq m of timber flooring in various patterns. Additionally, more than 500sq m of sheet and LVT vinyl were installed, adding style and functionality. Collaboration with the main contractor was pivotal, ensuring seamless progress throughout.

The project emphasised high levels of style and sophistication, resulting in an office space that exuded pride and class for its occupants. Each flooring type presented unique challenges, especially timber, requiring meticulous environmental conditions for flawless installation.

This project epitomised modern office aesthetics in London, marking it as one of Loughton Contracts’ most stylish and memorable achievements in recent years.
