Betap has added the brand BLOQ to its offer in flooring solutions

STARTING in 2021, carpet manufacturer Betap has added the brand BLOQ to its offer in flooring solutions. With what it describes as new and trendy carpet tiles, Betap will mainly focus on the contract market.

The company says: ‘In January 2021, Dutch flooring producer Betap – known for its non-woven and tufted floorcoverings – expanded its product range with innovative and inspiring carpet tiles. BLOQ offers trendy collections in contemporary designs, focused on the international project market. The baseline ‘Creative carpet tiles’ sums it up nicely. Aside from the creativity and flexibility that characterise the carpet tiles, the new BLOQ range plays an important role in the look and feel of a room and not only brings style and comfort, but great sound absorption, essential for good acoustics.’

It all began nine months ago when Betap started designing and developing the new collection. An entire new production line and a dedicated sales team is ready for the new brand and through BLOQ, Betap says it guarantees a direct approach, fast service, and creative collection. The past nine months of development symbolises a milestone for Betap, it says, culminating with the birth of a new production line, an exciting new range, and a bright new future.

The company continues: ‘With the launch of the carpet tile brand BLOQ, Betap will be active in the modular flooring sector. A newcomer, but one with firmly established roots in the textile industry.’

Betap was founded in 1918 by the van Lente family, who still lead the company today. The name BLOQ refers to the three-dimensional shape of carpet tiles and is inspired by the Genemuider block mat of the early 20th century, which was firmly rooted in Betap’s history.

Adds Betap: ‘Betap’s production has evolved from rushes to mats to woven carpet, later making room for tufted floorcoverings. Over time, yarn production and non-woven floor coverings have been added to the range and after more than 100 years, the Dutch family-run business has grown into a world-class player, driven by lasting relationships, beautiful products, sustainable growth, and affordable design.

‘Today, Betap contains several divisions and product groups: Parq (landscaping), automotive, residential, non-woven and exhibition. Betap supplies worldwide to wholesale, retail and B2B. Over the past years, the company has invested strongly in innovation and machinery with new techniques. Sustainability is a priority in everything Betap does. With the launch of BLOQ, Betap underlines its ambition to keep on growing and improving, together with its clients.’
