AN extensive luxury vinyl tile installation has been completed with a Mapei resilient floor system at Plas Dorlan in Cowbridge.
The stunning three-storey development, by Knox & Wells, includes two and three bedroom apartments with south-facing balconies overlooking the River Thaw. The project was completed by Kimpton Flooring.
Set in the heart of South Wales’ most desirable market town, Plas Dorlan is a statement building offering generous, well-proportioned dwellings presented in a unique and avant-garde way. In addition to luxurious, high-end interiors, the development features communal riverside and roof gardens with far reaching views.
Mapei floor preparation and installation products, each featuring EMICODE: EC1 Plus (very low VOC) formulations, were used to complete the project.
Says Mapei: ‘The specification included Mapeproof Primer – a one-component, rapid drying ready-to-use waterproof surface membrane, Eco Prim Grip Plus – a multi-purpose, ready-to-use, low odour, bonding promoter primer and Ultraplan Renovation Screed 3240 fibre-reinforced smoothing compound.
‘Tiles were installed with Ultrabond Eco 4 LVT fibre-reinforced adhesive – a hard set, wet bed formulation with high shear resistance.’
