Milliken creates ‘total energy’ in refurb

WHEN TotalEnergies was looking to renovate a large building previously occupied by a supermarket chain, they appointed interior architects Move, and Fit-Out contractors Ercer, to realise their ambitious project. The interior design for the new office in northern Spain needed to meet strict sustainability goals and facilitate a modern, hybrid workstyle of face-to-face and remote working.

Entering the reception area, you’re welcomed with ‘Open-Shut’ from Milliken’s First Call LVT design collection. The product’s large plank format, micro-bevelled edges and textured surface finish are said to provide a naturalistic wood effect. In pale shades of ‘Cone’, it works beautifully with the white and timber finishes in this space to create a light and airy ambience, says the company. Moving further into the building, the floor covering shifts to the LVT stone effect of Earth Science in the grey, mineral tones of Precious from Milliken’s Change Agent design collection. The company says: ‘As well as its appealing look, the floor provides a durable, resilient entrance surface and gives a great first impression for TotalEnergies’ visitors and employees. Both floors feature ‘pavement’ walkways of Laid Bare modular carpet connecting the various collaboration zones and meeting spaces.’
