St Mary’s RC Primary School in Langho near Blackburn, Lancashire has specified Total Care by Heckmondwike as part of a major refurbishment.
48sq m of Total Care was installed throughout the classrooms, offices and meeting areas of the building by local flooring contractor Rishton Flooring.
Catie Bowen, Bursar at St Mary’s RC Primary School, said: ‘We chose Total Care because of the aesthetics of the carpet and the fact we could match it with our school’s logo colours.’
Total Care is suitable for education and healthcare environments as it is reportedly durable and provides long lasting performance, even in areas of heavy foot traffic. It is also claimed to feature an impervious backing and resist staining and bleach. The carpet is reportedly manufactured to meet all relevant flammability tests. Available in four metre widths, Total Care carpet is said to be very easy to fit. It also reportedly offers antistatic properties.
Jeremy Broadhead, Commercial Manager for Heckmondwike, said: ‘We were really pleased to be able to meet the schools’ requirements for aesthetics and performance.’
Also suitable for education buildings is Heckmondwike’s Supacord range. Available in 42 colours, Supacord is claimed to feature strong aesthetics and is suitable for areas of heavy wear and tear.
