After a long day on the road, Eddie Stobart drivers are now able to enjoy their newly refurbished restroom and kitchen facilities, thanks to Showpiece Flooring and UltraFloor.

Background
The iconic Eddie Stobart lorries have played a crucial part in the UK’s supply chain since the ‘70s. They’ve seen significant growth over the past four decades and have conquered road and rail. In 2022, they expanded the Stoke-on-Trent transport depot to include new facilities for its staff group.

The challenge
Eddie Stobart is a 24/7 operation with employees coming and going all hours of the day. Ensuring the project was completed on time was paramount.

The solution
Commercial flooring specialists, Showpiece Flooring, utilised UltraFloor’s subfloor preparation materials at this location. Before levelling could commence, the concrete power floated substrate required the application of DPM IT to create a structural membrane.

Results
The 240sq m job was split over two blocks with each area taking just four days to complete.
