THE Independent Flooring Group is a network of 15 flooring distributors with branches throughout the United Kingdom. They are all independently owned and managed by people who know the flooring industry and care about you and your business. The company began in 2019 with the aim to work together in purchasing and marketing to develop towards growth within their businesses and the group.

On 20 April 2024, The Independent Flooring Group hosted its annual IFG conference and exhibition at The Witch Group HQ in Accrington. The exhibition consisted of a selection of its members, wholesalers and distributors. Among them were PN Design, Interfloor, AFT, Footfall, Bostik, Balsan, Rawson, Peri, Furlong, Everything Digital, Floorgear, Modern Floor Co, Premier, Urban, Berry Alloc, Witch, Moderna and CFJ. Between them, nine new products were launched, and new supply partners were introduced including Rawson, Balsan, Furlong, Peri and Everything Digital.

The purpose of the event was to give exhibitors an opportunity to network and learn about each other’s services as well as understanding what the Independent Flooring Group stands for. Held yearly, the event is welcomed among all members and attendees and is seen as a great opportunity to learn about upcoming trends and products.

Attendees also had the opportunity to have a tour of the warehouse, also held at the Witch Group HQ. It acts as a successful distribution hub for suppliers in the group to store products if needed, making it easier for transportation across the country as well as logistics. The hub also has its own trade counter allowing customers to buy products and supplies.

A new development at the HQ is the history of flooring museum which celebrates all things flooring and how the industry has developed. From traditional tools, equipment, historic flooring events, and issues of old trade magazines, the museum has an array of nostalgic memories for those who have been in the industry for many years.

In the evening, there was a dinner for all those who attended to celebrate the Independent Flooring Group and its developments along with optimism for the future.
