MIKE Dobson, an organiser of the Kidderminster Carpet Manufacturers’ charity golf day has confirmed that the winner on day one was Ulster Carpets with a total score of 86 points while day two’s ‘pairs competition’ was won by Yorkshire Terriers with a total of 40 points.

‘Unfortunately the weather on day two was dreadful, with torrential rain all day,’ says Mike. ‘This did impact the fundraising opportunities for the day. However, I’m pleased to confirm this year’s event raised in excess of £17,000, only slightly down on 2023.

‘These monies will be distributed in the coming weeks to several charities, including Macmillan, the Furniture Makers’ Company and a number of organisations local to Kidderminster. I’m also pleased to confirm that next year’s event will once again be held at Kidderminster Golf Club between 20-21 May.’
