New Keraquick S2
New for 2025, Keraquick S2 is the latest introduction to the series. A high performance, deformable cementitious adhesive, Keraquick S2 can be used to install ceramic, porcelain, moisture-stable natural stone and mosaic wall and floor tiles, internally and externally. It can be applied to a maximum bed depth of 10mm and can be used alongside underfloor heating. Its quick-setting formulation is ideal for heavily trafficked areas where a fast turn-around is essential; floor and wall tiles can be grouted after only two hours and floors subjected to light foot traffic. Areas can be returned to full use after just 24 hours.
The new adhesive can be used to install tiles onto cement-based and suitably prepared calcium sulphate-based screeds, concrete, existing unglazed ceramic floor tiles, cement-based renders, gypsum plaster, plasterboard and tile backer boards. It can also be used to install insulating materials, including expanded and extruded polystyrene panels, gypsum boards, glass and rockwool, Eraclit®, aerated concrete blocks and sound deadening panels.
Other rapid-setting Keraquick adhesives
Other recent additions to the series include Keraquick S1 Zero – Mapei’s best-selling tile adhesive is now a part of Mapei UK’s Zero line of carbon offset* products – and Keraquick Easy S1.
A deformable, non-slip cementitious adhesive, Keraquick S1 Zero provides a safe, sustainable solution for contractors and specifiers, with CO2 fully offset in the entire life cycle. It can used to bond ceramic, porcelain and moisture stable natural stone tiles and mosaics to a wide range of substrates, inside and outdoors, and can also be used to install a variety of insulating materials.
A flexible cementitious adhesive, Keraquick Easy S1 can be used to install both engineered and moisture stable stone tiles and mosaics onto most floor substrates, providing a fast and cost-effective solution. Its lower viscosity compared to standard adhesives provides excellent wetting out capabilities, perfect for the installation of large format tiles and anti-fracture membranes.
Both adhesives can be grouted and can accept light foot traffic after just two hours and surfaces returned to full use after 24 hours. They can also be used alongside underfloor heating.
Fibre-reinforcement with Keraquick XL Fibrelite
Also suitable for all types of tile and moisture-tolerant stone, Keraquick XL Fibrelite provides a fibre-reinforced option, ideal for large format installations up to 1500 x 1500 mm. A high-yield, cement based rapid setting adhesive, it can be used to install onto prepared timber substrates and calcium sulphate screeds, internally and externally, and onto underfloor heating. A mixture of special cements, selectively graded lightweight aggregates, synthetic resins, fibres and setting accelerators enable the adhesive to be applied with ease, while developing high bond strength after only 90 minutes, when floors can also be walked on. Surfaces are ready for general foot traffic after just 12 hours.
