ULTRAFLOOR and Tricas Flooring have completed a 7,000sq m flooring project at a new student accommodation complex in Birmingham. The students are now living in luxury after a seven-storey, brand-new, apartment building was commissioned on Hanley Street.
The cold and fluctuating temperatures, plus lack of windows, proved to be a challenge for all trades working on this site. In addition, it was imperative the project completed on time so not to delay students from moving in and commencing their studies.
UltraFloor was delighted to once again partner with flooring experts, Tricas Flooring, to complete this 7,000sq m project. Before work could begin, UltraFloor key accounts manager, Mark Berry, visited Hanley Street to carry out thorough moisture testing.
Once the Tricas Flooring team was happy the concrete substrate was dry and clear of any contaminants, two coats of UltraFloor Suppress IT moisture vapour suppressant were applied before Level IT Two was trowel applied to a depth of 5-6mm.

After just a few hours, it’s reported, Tricas Flooring could install the Bolon, Karndean, Tarkett and CFS Flooring.
