MARLINGS’ Terrain Volcanic carpet tiles, along with Treads’ stair-nosings and inserts, have been installed as part of an extensive refurbishment in Nuneaton.
The £1.1m office and warehouse project – by Essex-based Abstract Office Interiors – was completed for client company, OSG, over a 20-week period. It included complete refurbishment of the office and industrial space within the former Stokes & Parry premises.
The project follows numerous others completed by the firm for OSG, including fit-out of its premises in Basildon.
Located on the town’s Attleborough Fields Industrial Estate, the Stokes & Parry building is a former sheet metal works. The premises extend to over 2,059sq m and include a two-bay industrial facility and two-storey front offices.
All aspects of the project’s design and installation were carried out by Abstract Office Interiors, with office flooring input from Marlings’ Sam Hayman.
The Terrain Volcanic carpet tile was specified throughout entrances and lobbies, stairs, landings and office areas, creating what’s described as a seamless aesthetic. Treads’ Tred-Ex non-slip TS1 stair-nosings and complementary grey inserts completed the installation on the stairs between floors.
Inspired by geographical landscapes and textures, Marlings’ Terrain combines a reportedly striking design with ‘high performance’.
The patterned tufted loop pile carpet tile was chosen in the Volcanic colourway – a black and charcoal mix – and provides a Class 33 wear-rating for heavy traffic.
Other Terrain colourways include Canyon and Earth, which each include beige and brown tones; Snow Cap and Glacier from the grey palette, and blue/black Lake.
