Kerakoll introduces final two products of new smoothing compound range

FOLLOWING the launch of the first phase of Proflow, Kerakoll’s new range of smoothing compounds in June, the company is now introducing the final two products of the collection. Proflow Smooth, and Proflow Trade join Proflow Finish, Proflow MVS and Proflow Rapid.

Proflow Smooth is the reincarnation of the original Proflow.

Says Kerakoll: ‘This self-smoothing compound has a unique free flowing formulation that fills and smooths any substrate imperfections and creates a flawless surface finish effortlessly. With a working and wet edge time of 30 minutes, and its ability to accept foot traffic after only 90 minutes and floorcoverings after just three-and-a-half hours, this double component compound gives the best blend of extended working times and rapid installation.

‘It’s moisture-tolerant, so can be used to pre-smooth green or wet cement-based screeds prior to applying a surface epoxy damp proof membrane.’

The company continues: ‘Proflow Trade is the new version of Trade Flow. This universal self-smoothing compound can be used in thicknesses from 3-8 mm, on most substrates including metal and fibre-cement panels. It accepts foot traffic after four hours and resilient floorcoverings can be installed after 12 hours.

‘More information on the new range is available on the landing page You can also contact your local sales representative, or the customer service team to arrange a trial or answer any questions that you may have, using the contact details below.’

The company concludes: ‘Kerakoll also offers free of charge training on flooring installation at the Kerakoll Campus in Bromsgrove. This is a mixture of hands on and technical training which covers correct practice for subfloor preparation including testing for, and controlling moisture; using primers, and repairing minor imperfections; selecting and applying smoothing compounds; and the use of adhesives.’
