MAPEI’s Ultraplan series includes a range of self-levelling, smoothing compounds to, it says, suit all locations and project demands.

Says the company, ‘Solutions for fast-track installations include Ultraplan Eco 3210 – an ultra-fast hardening self-levelling mortar for all types of interior flooring and ideal in locations where enhanced resistance to wheeled traffic and heavy loads is required.

‘An EMICODE: EC1 Plus certified formulation with very low VOC, Ultraplan Eco 3210 can be used to level new and existing substrates, with differences in thickness from 3 to 10 mm, in a single application.

‘The versatile compound can be applied on concrete slabs, sand cement screeds and anhydrite screeds including underfloor heating, as well as existing cement, terrazzo, ceramic and natural stone floors. It is also an ideal partner to Mapecem, Mapecem Pronto, Topcem and Topcem Pronto.’

The company continues: ‘Mixed with water, Ultraplan Eco 3210 becomes a highly fluid and easily workable mortar, which is self-levelling, with high adhesion to the substrate and dries ultra-quickly.
‘It can be applied – by hand or pump – up to 10 mm without any risk of shrinkage, cracking or crazing and provides very high compressive strength, as well as resistance to abrasion and indentation. Resilient floors can be laid after about 12 hours – regardless of thickness – and wooden floors 24 hours after application.’
