Winning combinations with LVT

Project specifications that combine hard and soft surfacing solutions are growing. With LVT offering many benefits as a flooring solution, for example in corridors or kitchen/cafe zones within a workplace, consideration must be given to durability and ease of maintenance.

Shaw Contract’s ExoGuard finish layer provides resistance to scratching, staining, and abrasion. It is also a polish optional finish which means that there is no need for polishing, reducing the costs of annual maintenance and helping to avoid the necessity of any chemical cleaning.

All of Shaw Contract’s LVT collections for the EMEA region are certified to rigorous indoor emissions requirements and formulated without ortho-phthalates. Indoor air quality is a critical consideration as research shows that we spend around 90% of our time indoors.

Stunning flooring layouts can also be achieved using combinations of LVT and carpet tiles. Designers are able to combine looks and provide practical options in open floor plates by creating different zones of usage. And 5mm LVT can be installed next to most carpet tiles without the need for transition strips, which adds to a sense of easy flow within an interior.

Wood look effects remain a popular choice bringing the feeling of the outdoors inside, and offer a calming, soft aesthetic. While the concrete look of mid-tone greys provide a core neutral hue: they can be soft and warm or support a cooler-toned industrial look or style which remains on trend.
