REVEALED at the INDX National Flooring Show, the Ecorugs display from Louis De Poortere is now ready for stores looking to make the most of the more sustainable rug range.
Made to be recycled thanks to an all-polyester construction, Louis De Poortere’s Ecorugs is reportedly unique in the UK flooring industry and is said to give retailers an opportunity to offer environmentally conscious customers a choice that doesn’t compromise quality or style.
With the launch of a dedicated display unit for Ecorugs, retailers can now make more of the collection in store. Says the company, ‘The smart and compact unit holds swatch books of Ecorugs, while powerful graphics carry the messages of this pioneering rug offer.’
Alan Russell, sales director, Louis De Poortere, says: ‘Ecorugs is a fantastic opportunity for retailers to engage with their customers who want to make more sustainable buying choices. Bringing attention to the collection that combines its unique messaging with feeler samples, we hope the new display launches many conversations on why the all-polyester construction and Take Care Program make Ecorugs the better way to invest in a rug.
‘We believe that simply creating the possibility for something to be recycled is not enough, you must also give an easy way for it to be recycled. With the QR code and free return of Take Care, we’ve achieved exactly that and it’s something that retailers can use to make a compelling argument as to why an Ecorug is a conscious decision to embrace a more sustainable way of buying home decoration.’
Concludes the company: ‘Louis De Poortere’s entire rug collection has been transformed into the Ecorugs 100% recyclable construction, so from now on every rug supplied takes the company one step closer to create a completely circular product. Currently, 20% of every rug uses recycled PET (downcycled plastic bottles) with the manufacturer setting a target of 100% recycled content in 2025. The Ecorugs display is now available to stores across the country.’
