IVC: How sheet vinyl floors can meet demands of affordable housing

IVC Commercial exhibited at Housing 2026, showcasing its dedicated social housing collections that is says are affordable for providers and developers, and which reportedly have the ability to improve lives for tenants.
Designed to provide a durable, low maintenance solution in living areas, the Zenura collection delivers ‘a cost-effective floor that’s easy to install’.
Says IVC: ‘Across Zenura Style, Zenura Luxe, Zenura Ultimate and Zenura Elegance LVS, housing landlords can choose a specification to meet their requirements. In multiple widths to cut down on waste, these collections provide a safe and hygienic surface while giving tenants a warm, comfortable and stylish floor.’
Jake Parks, national sales manager, says, ‘Thanks to budgets and rising construction costs, the need for affordable flooring solutions is at an all-time high in the sector, and we were inundated with enquiries, even with the show closing early thanks to the heatwave.
‘We took developers, local authorities, providers and specifiers through how choosing IVC Commercial for more than just bathrooms and kitchens can help to improve the quality of their housing in a way that’s surprisingly cost-effective and which deals with many of the on-going challenges of maintaining their stock. It was a thoroughly worthwhile show and I’m sure we’ll be back.’
IVC Commercial says it also offers a range of commercial-grade compact sheet vinyl flooring to provide heavy contract (Class 34) performance. ‘Isafe 70 is an easy to clean TRL 36+ safety flooring that can be used to provide improved slip-restraint in communal areas. It comes in a range of homely effects and withstands heavy traffic. For areas where acoustics are an important consideration, Pionieer 70 offers the same exceptional durability and homelike design with 18dB of impact sound reduction.’
Concludes the company: ‘IVC Commercial’s sheet vinyl floors are made in Belgium and widely stocked across the UK. The company works with many housing providers to develop a collection to meet their needs, and which provides tenants with a select choice of designs.’
