Colchester Institute provides education, professional development and technical skills to over 8,000 young people and adults every year and operates out of two campuses in Colchester and Braintree. The canteen of the Colchester campus has recently been refurbished, with a floor finished in Iperform 70 heavy duty vinyl flooring from IVC Commercial.
Installer Persha Carpets & Flooring gave Colchester Institute a range of suitable flooring options to consider. With Colchester Institute opting for Iperform 70 in the oak plank design of Toronto, the canteen now has a smart new wood effect floor that’s durable and easy to maintain.
Iperform 70 is IVC Commercial’s heavy duty heterogeneous vinyl floor that’s designed to withstand high levels of use. Suited to the needs of education environments, Iperform 70 is also capable of delivering a long lasting look in projects where durability and easy cleaning are key. Incorporating IVC Commercial’s Performance Barrier that adds strength and inhibits discolouration, all floors are rated Class 43 for wear and R10 for slip-resistance. Iperform 70 also features Hyperguard+ and Sanitec for a floor that’s stain and scratch resistant, easy to clean and hygienic.
The old floors were removed by Persha Carpets & Flooring using mechanical uplift, before a levelling compound was applied to ensure a smooth and flat subfloor ready for the installation of Iperform 70. A total of 400m2 of Iperform 70 Toronto T96 was installed.
