Louis De Poortere has revealed its hottest Ecorugs designs of 2026.
Louis De Poortere has released its eagerly anticipated hot list, charting the brand’s top 20 selling Ecorugs designs for 2026. This year, the top five is made up of firm favourites with three new-for-2025 designs entering the top 10 and five more finding their way into the top 20.
“We’ve seen a strong showing from 2025 designs in this year’s Ecorugs Top 20, perhaps this year more than any other,” says Alan Russell, Sales Director. “With the fabulous 2025 introductions of Ribbon and Berber we’ve seen strong abstract design enter the top 10, suggesting consumers are moving towards more expressive styles to adorn their homes.
“As we’ve seen in previous years, designs synonymous with Louis De Poortere, such as Fading World sitting at number one and three designs from Mad Men in the top five alone, show that the classics are still very much in fashion. That said, it’s great to see that some of our new designs are making themselves felt.”
Colours also seem to be shifting into bolder tones, with rich reds, blues, greens and ochres all making a strong showing. However, it seems it will take a lot to knock neutrals off the top spot with the soft grey palette of Fading World’s Salt & Pepper keeping itself the nation’s number one Ecorugs design.
With 2026’s new releases seeing some strong abstract designs in Sendai, Drop and Kanji as well as the expressive Brush, Zen Garden, Marble, Stones, Cubic and Chess; will we see more adventurous designs enter the top 20 in 2027? Or will the brand’s new shapes make their presence felt? Will Fading World be knocked off its perch? We’ll have to wait till this time next year to see. But what is sure, is that it promises to be another hotly contested Ecorugs Top 20.
