We prioritise eco-friendly materials, to reduce our carbon footprint, and engage in responsible sourcing practices, ensuring a positive impact on the environment. Burmatex operates a zero-landfill policy.
‘We design products to support the circular economy, and by using our recovery take back service, it helps support it too. When it’s time to refresh a floor, the recovery takeback service gives used carpet tiles a new lease of life. Working with our partners, we work to find used carpet tiles a new home, such as helping local community organisations requiring low cost flooring. Where, due to their condition, reuse isn’t an option, used carpet tiles can generate energy for local housing. By using the recovery take back service, we can all ensure carpet tiles don’t end up in landfill.’
The company continues: ‘Multilevel loop consists of a range of products including dapple, arctic, osaka, balance collection, snowfall and standing stones, which are manufactured with Universal Fibers groundbreaking Thrive matter yarn, the world’s first carbon negative recycled yarn. This, combined with our unique BioBase recycled backing these products are all carbon neutral.’
