INDUSTRIAL FLOORING
F BALL and Co has extended the use of its Stopgap 300 heavy-duty smoothing compound so it can also now be used as a standalone wearing surface in industrial settings.
Says F Ball: ‘Stopgap 300 offers a high compressive strength making it suitable for creating a perfectly smooth base when installing floorcoverings in areas that will be subject to high traffic and heavy loads.
‘Its extended use as a standalone-wearing surface, where floorcoverings aren’t required, makes it perfect for upgrading and renovating new and existing floors in a range of environments, including heavy-duty industrial applications where forklift trucks are in operation.’
Continues the company: ‘Stopgap 300 is suitable for use over a wide range of subfloor types, including sand/cement screed, concrete, calcium sulphate (eg anhydrite), sound asphalt, granolithic, terrazzo, epoxy and polyurethane resins, ceramic and quarry tiles and Stopgap waterproof surface membranes.
‘The product has excellent self-levelling properties and can be pump-applied up to 1,500sq m per day, dependent on manpower, thickness applied and equipment used. Its protein-free formulation allows it to be used in biologically sensitive areas such as hospitals. It’s also low odour, meaning it can be used while nearby areas remain in-use and open to the public.’
