DEVELOPED for professional and end-user application, Mapei’s UltraCare range is said to provide a solution from tile installation to ongoing maintenance and renovation, in private and commercial settings.

For summer season landscaping projects, the series includes four products that specifically target new installations with cement-based grout: UltraCare Grout Release, UltraCare HD Cleaner, UltraCare Keranet and UltraCare Multicleaner.

Says Mapei: ‘UltraCare Grout Release is a ready to use water-based pre-sealer formulated for use before application of cementitious grout. On stone pavers, it stops grout ingress and reduces the risk of halos or picture-framing. On external, anti-slip porcelain, it makes the removal of grout residue easy and prevents accumulation in the tile’s textured surface. Pavers can be grouted 4-8 hours after application.’

The company continues: ‘UltraCare HD Cleaner and UltraCare Keranet are recommended for the Builders Clean after grouting. On natural stone, a thorough clean with professional-grade concentrated deep cleaner, UltraCare HD Cleaner, removes all installation residues and ensures the sealer can penetrate the stone. Any residue left in place would become sandwiched between the stone and sealed surface, compromising the tile aesthetic and performance of the sealer.’

Adds Mapei: ‘On external porcelain, UltraCare Keranet – a concentrated acid-cleaner specifically designed for acid-resistant tiles – removes installation residues, ensuring anti-slip properties and tile aesthetic are maintained. For ongoing maintenance, UltraCare Multicleaner neutral cleaner is recommended for stone and porcelain tiles, and UltraCare HD Cleaner for the periodic deep cleaning of both materials.’
