Shire Flooring took the next finalist slot with Milliken, IVC Commercial, Amtico, Quantum Flooring Accessories at Flint Bishop, Derby.

The project involved a substantial renovation to create a cutting-edge facility spanning 18,000sq ft, tailored for a top 200 UK law firm. This high-specification project included intricate installations such as herringbone plank and LVT tiles in corridors. Initially, the team completed the second-floor open office area using IVC carpet tiles and Milliken carpet tiles for small offices. The following weeks focused on the first and ground floor open plan areas, also utilising IVC carpet tiles.

Concurrently, the team installed 6mm ply for kitchenettes, adhering it to raised access flooring for subsequent IVC LVT installation. Later stages addressed challenging areas, including a corridor transitioning into the reception. Here, the team applied 6mm ply to raised access areas, followed by F Ball 1200 latex screed, and installed IVC LVT herringbone and tile. Work extended to a high-end café with raised access floors, incorporating IVC Sabbia sheet vinyl, Amtico’s Designers Choice, and IVC herringbone.

The project concluded with Milliken carpet tiles in all meeting rooms and IVC carpet tiles with Quantum stair-nosings on the staircase, managed with flexible shifts to meet project deadlines.
